I bought a Duo, and then I got my Duo Dock. I wasn’t crazy about the Duo’s track ball, but I was really disappointed with the Dock’s mouse, at least the speed and acceleration. Even Mouse2 did not function properly; it could only slow the mouse.
I called Apple-SOS and they told me that the speed and strange acceleration was set intentionally in order to make the Duo’s track ball more usable. A valid answer, but not the one for which I was looking. Enter DuoMouseOctane.
With DuoMouseOctane your Duo Dock’s mouse will act like a normal mouse in terms of maximum speed and acceleration. In addition Mouse2, SuperRat!, and other Mouse acceleration utilities should work as they do on any other Mac. It has also taken care of my Kensington track ball problems, but then again, I have an old one and I don't have the software…
